Grief comes to us all eventually. It presents a crisis. Will we deal with it correctly and move forward with our life? Or will we get stuck in the past. Here are some guidelines for grief resolution.
Ann Kaiser Stearns tells about an insurance salesman who was grieved to hear that his first child was a Down's Syndrome baby. Six days later he began tearing down the rickety wooden porch on the back of the couple's home. He had intended to rebuild the wooden porch anyway. Now he was tearing down the old one, piece by piece, using scarcely any tools for assistance. This young father was not resisting his grief.
